Chuck & Darlene Whitney

Dr. Chuck Whitney is our current board treasurer and along with his wife Darlene, supports OSW through generous donations to fund student scholarships, councilor stipends, and many other operational expenses. Chuck has been invaluable in getting our non-profit off the ground and has dedicated countless hours to submitting the correct paperwork and making sure our organization is all squared away. We thank the Whitney's for their enduring support of string education on the Olympic Peninsula.

Bill & Valerie Anders

Bill and his wife Valerie were closely connected with Olympic Strings Workshop, both as founders of NatureBridge and founding patrons of Olympic Strings Workshop. In fact, those students who attended in 2019-2022 will have seen the names of Bill and Valerie Anders on their scholarship announcements.

"The Anders have been dear friends of my family for over 20 years, and they saw my children grow up as we visited Orcas Island every summer to perform at the Chamber Music Festival. When I performed the Brahms Violin Concerto in Port Angeles in 2017, Bill and Valerie drove in to hear the concert and then took me to visit NatureBridge, which they had founded many years prior to give students a chance to learn about nature."
